Tale of Two Halves as Bucs Drop Heartbreaker to 'Skins

The Washington Redskins brought the number one scoring offense in the NFL to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ number one ranked rushing defense, so something had to give in a battle of 1-2 teams. The Redskins dominated the first half, and the Buccaneers controlled the second half, but a Billy Cundiff field goal as time expired gave the Redskins a 24-22 victory.

The first carry by Robert Griffin III resulted in a fumble, but as was the overall theme of the first half the ‘Skins Pierre Garcon recovered the fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. The first half was highlighted by missed tackles by the Buccaneers defenders and Griffin being able to do whatever he wanted to with the ball.
